We've got the very spherical belly going on, as well as the very prominent and obnoxious navel which insists on showing through multiple layers. I just can't bring myself to buy a belly button patch (which apparently does exist somewhere in maternity world).
Reilly child is doing fine and is growing according to plan, as of Monday's visit. He continues to have a strong heart beat and is kickin' and dancing all over the place. My boy students even bestowed upon me a baby-size soccer ball for the child, because they insist he's going to be a soccer star. The entire class actually signed the ball, which was pretty darn sweet, I'll have to admit.
We've arrived at the twice monthly visits, and the weekly visits are looming on the horizon. Getting to the appointments is proving to be very interesting seeing as I'm carpooling into work every day (I have saintly coworkers). We'll see how transportation goes from here on out.
The back has been very achey. With my mid-back already having a degenerative disk that regularly makes itself known and with my posture steadily growing worse every day, I've found myself feeling pretty darn geriatric at times. I finally broke down and got a prenatal massage on Monday, and I'm now asking myself why it didn't happen sooner.
Overall it has certainly helped, but the frustrating thing is that since there is a slight slight slight chance that massaging certain areas could trigger labor, the therapist hardly touched my lower back. Whaaa?! Isn't that where prego moms could use it the most???
Oh well. I can't complain because it was (and currently is) the best my back has felt in months. I think the key from here on will be nabbing those massage Groupons that show up practically every day.

They say bandaids work for a bellybutton patch...though mine never did poke out!
ReplyDeleteThe 80s called; they want their ponytail back . . . and their light washed denim jacket.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I'm really glad you got that massage. I got one last time, and I wish I had gotten more.
Call me Deb.
